Someday, once I'm over the rainbow

I swear I'll do more things with my site.

I know one of my problems, is that I need to lower my expectations. I have these dreams of a perfect website and perfect blog entries with no spelling or grammatical errors. But nothing on this site it perfect and neither am I. I keep thinking what I am writing is not good enough or original enough and then I never end up hitting the publish button. I need to stop being so critical of myself and realize that it's more imporant to get out what I need to say than worrying about unrealistic dreams of perfection. It would be like waiting my whole life for Edward Cullen (Yep, throwing out the Twilight reference).

I need to keep my post ideas in a convenient-to-update location. I actually have a really nice spot for something like that on my new desks we were able to bring home from Ryan's office.

So, to tell you what has been going on lately and what you should prepare for in the months to come from me:

Today I was brainstorming some character ideas to use for NaNoWriMo. I am going to use the time I have before I actually start writing to either do some pre-writing, brainstorming, or character developments. Last year, I did not decide until the day before and just did no pre-planning, but planned sparingly as I went along. I had a seperate document from the actual story on Open Office, the program I used last year to write, on which I kept a chapter outline that typically consisted of a few sentences a piece highlighting the main event of the chapter.

Anyway, I really like this couple I made: Celest and Niklas, maybe because I like their names a lot. :) They are an ex-couple, who literally just became exes. And now one is heartbroken and the other strings them along. I definitely want to dig a lot deeper.

I don't think I will be following the traditional schedule of NaNo this year in whatever fabrication I decide to do it in. The Elder Scrolls is about to release number 5 in the series, entitled Skyrim. Definitely an amazing series that's worth checking out if you like to play games at all!

I have a lot of comment spam and contact page 'increase your SEO' spam that I really do not have an effective way to filter out, so it all has to be done manually, which is a pain in the butt, but I understand why.
